The Greater Des Moines Partnership will host a Public Policy Issue Forum on the topic of immigration reform.
Dr. Marti Doyle, Professor of Social Sciences at Mercy College of Health Sciences will join Tom Ahart, Superintendent of Des Moines Public Schools, Bob Brownell, Polk County Supervisor, Lori Chesser, Immigration Attorney for Davis Brown Law Firm, Bob Riley, Chairman of Feed Energy Company on a panel. Panelists will speak on immigration reform and the impacts it could have on Greater Des Moines (DSM).
This is the third of an ongoing series of Public Policy Issue Forum events. The Partnership is a nonpartisan organization.
This event is in conjunction with iMarch, New American Economy’s national day of action. iMarch will bring together business, education, faith, tech, agriculture, media, entertainment and many more leaders to share and hear stories from all 50 states that highlight the need for immigration reform. The event will take place on Thursday, Dec. 7. from 7:30 to 9 a.m. at The Partnership’s office at 700 Locust St., Suite 100, Des Moines.
