Write a Thank You Card to a First Responder - A thank you is a simple act that can make a big difference in someone’s life.

9/11 National Day of Service Picture

In honor of 9/11 National Day of Service and Remembrance, Mercy College of Health Sciences is holding a thank you card writing event for first responders in the Des Moines community. It’s important that we don’t forget about the sacrifice that so many made on 9/11, but we also shouldn’t forget about the compassion and courage that the first responders in our community show every day.

Stop by our table in the lobby of Sullivan Center to write a thank you card for those who are serving the needs of our community. The table will be set up until Wednsday, 9/14 at noon so the cards can be delivered that afternoon.

You’re also welcome to take a card and hand deliver it to a first responder who you personally know. Thank you cards will be provided.

Please join us in honoring those who protect and serve us every single day.
